Benefits of salt therapy
Karen Ranson Tilney
We had never heard of equine salt therapy until my daughter won 3 free sessions last year. It was one of those things that would have been forgotten about if we hadn’t had a long talk with Darrell Torrens who said he could help our 22 year old mare who has had a constant battle with weepy patches ever since she had a severe staphylococcus skin infection 6 years ago.
After the first three salt therapy sessions the patches she had were either dead or dying. I was amazed at how quickly this happened. She’s had several sessions over the last year but her skin is now better than it’s been in years and she’s got a lovely shiny coat but also it gives her whole body a pick up. In March 2017 she had an ovarian tumour removed and although she recovered well, this time last year she was starting to look old and a bit depressed, and her skin wasn’t good. Since the salt therapy we now have our cheeky, gorgeous girl back.
All I can say is it’s definitely worth trying, the therapy speaks for itself”.
